OK, folks, I miss tunes. I had an EGC, dug the stereo. I now have an RKP. I'm thinking about installing a set of marine speakers in my saddlebag lids (Horrors! He's gonna cut holes in the lids!).
So with these speakers and amp http://www.crutchfield.com/p_693MP3K...arine+speakers will I be able to hear the chick singers on Great Gig In The Sky on Pink Floyd's P*U*L*S*E Live album? Without a windshield? At 80? I'm just running an Ipod for a source which I'll velcro to the dash.
I'm pretty cash depleted, but I reeeeally miss tunes! Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Maybe at 55mph....but not at 80mph.
The wife hears our rear pods just fine, but I have a hard time even hearing the rear pods with the front one shut down at hwy speeds.
I run the J&M MHAS-2008 handlebar mounted speakers on my softail. They sound great and get REALLY LOUD! They have internal amps in each speaker. I can't say enough about these as most people tell me they hear me coming from a half block away now. they actually hear the music before the pipes now. Imagine that.
