have an 2010 limited. bikes runs great. what concerns me is HD just put new download in ecm due to power lose when hot. Fixed problem fine but now after an extended run on the highway when the bikes comes to an idle there is a very clear deep knock at idle. If i shut bike off and restart it goes away. any ideas before i take it back to dealer??? anyone else have the same issue.

 

My 2011 Ultra Limited has the same knock exactly as you describe it. Dealer said it is normal.
I was even wondering if they really put SE compensator in mine.

 

Parade mode on?

 

No parade mode is off. now that the weather has cooled off i don't notice it nearly as mauch

 

Could it be the injectors?

I know, what a joke everything is normal to them. When I brought it in 2 Tech's came out to listen the knock was so clear but they still pretend they do not hear anything. It still does it even in this cold after a trip.

 

Sorry for your troubles. The dealers can really be a joke at times. Try an record your motor before and after to capture this clear deep knock.

 

Are you sure your parade mode is off?

My RGU does that same thing at idle sometimes and I assumed it was the parade mode. I just twist the throttle a bit and it stops...that's how I figured out it was parade mode thing.
