Is there a Handlebar Mounted oil Temp gage for RK?
I see all these threads about oil coolers and knowing what your temp is...but how can you read the temp on a Road King since it has no fairing to mount one? What are the alternatives?
Does anybody know of an oil temp gage kit? I do not want one of those garbage dipstick temp gages.

Trust me, your better off not having one. I had an oil temp gauge on my previous ride and ws obsessed with it. I looked at it at every light. Every time I stopped. Guess what.... it was always fine. On those rare ocassion it was a little on the high side, I new it before I looked because of the heat coming off the bike. Either way, there is not much you can do different while riding to change it. Get an oil cooler and put some synthetic oil in it and it's going to run as cool as possible for the conditions. I can't tell you how happy I am having not purchased a gauge for my current bike. Keep in mind they test these bikes and design them to handle the desert heat. They ride them in the desert in Arizona all day and then park them in an outside room with no circulation and let them idle. They always survive.
