Default Ultra Classic seat

Well I just purchased a new ultra classic. I'm over 6' and all legs. The problem I have is with the seat. The stock seat has my knees higher than my a#@ so all the pressure is put on my hips. I can only ride about an hour and then I need to stop to give my a#@ a rest. I tried the tallboy seat and it put me back 2" and down an 1" so it was no help.
So I have contacted every major after market seat manufacture and they all tell me the same thing. Their seat put you down an " or more. As a last resort I'm gonna send my seat out and have it modified for my size.

Hope this helps Bill

Iam 6'3" 275 lbs 34" inch inseam. Iam very happy with the stock air ride police seat. I did add some hyway pegs and relocated the floorboards an inch forward and an inch out. The police seat sets you back far enough and the height is perfect if your tall. Oh yea my bike is a 09 Police Road King.

My 2 cents! Recommended by a 40,000 mile a year rider and he was right. The HD Hammock seat. My 3rd HD and by far the most comphy. drivers back rest is also a plus. My newest is a '10 streetglide.

Your just the same size and weight that I am. Have had a 09 and current 2010 Ultras and feel real god about the rider space. Stock seat rides well, in fact, have done three rides all in excess of 1100 miles straight thru. Have foot pegson the engine guard just to stretch out the legs

Default 08 Saddlemen Road Sofa

I have a Saddlemen Road Sofa with Adj Backrest LIKE NEW for Sale $300.00 Plus Shipping..

Ok here's the story,, Saddlemen made the Seat to fit the 08 Touring Bikes and as you know the 09's Touring bikes sit a little taller,, So they made a newer Road Sofa to fit the 09,10 & 11's it sits about a inch and a half lower than a 08 Road Sofa,,,But 08 fits the 09,10 & 11's ,, I have the 08 Road Sofa, when you put it on a 09 or Newer it will raise you up and give you more leg room

Damn...I didn't know they piled it this high! There are some damn tall sob's on this forum not to mention a 6' lady rider...(Thanks Trish).

I'm leaning towards the UC again, I really loved that bike. I really want to make sure my bride is comfy. Will hopefully pull the trigger and get back out there very soon.

I find it a bit humorous to see some of the posts regarding the Tall Boy seat. Just like everything else, it works for some and then again, not for others. I think I'm going into the seat business!

The next problem was the bars. I moved back 2" with the seat, so now the bars were too far away. Wild 1 575's worked for me. I also have the extended shifters and brake pedals for my size 14 boots.
I also got the George Anderson Tour Pak relocator to give the wife back some of the room that was taken away by the seat.
I'm 6'4" and I have this same setup with the addition of kuyakyn footboard extenders (forward 1" outward 3/4"). I hate the looks of the Tallboy but it works for long rides. I use an HD Brawler for around town and short rides.

My first HD was an 07' Ultra. Never did like it for the same reason. I felt like I was cramped an sitting on the gas tank. I am 6'1" and weigh in at about two and three quarter hunnerd.
I have a butt that is sometimes referred to as a ghetto booty. I realized that the seat on the Ultra was made to accommodate a passenger more so than any other bike. The extra large passenger seat pushes your butt farther forward. I had the stock seat cut on and it worked better. I finally got a Road Glide and the problem was solved. The RG and the Street Glide have the same seat. It is more streamlined which allows you to sit back on it farther. When I ride either bike it is just fine. I have ridden a new Ultra and they are still the same. The only solution is to find a seat that robs space and height from the passenger seat.
