I just got a 07 electra glide classic and ordered v&h slip ons. Is a direct fit k&n filter a bad choice? Do I need to buy the powerprogrammer for around $300, or can I just take it to dealer and have it remapped for $140?

If you add the Screaming Eagle or K&N air filter you will need to add a Power Commander III or SERT (Screaming Eagle Race Tuner) If not your bike will be so lean that it could ruin something. I have the PCIII and like it. I can change it anytime I want to with my laptop. It lets your bike run cooler and with more HP. They really bring out the potential of your bike with the new pipes and Air Cleaner. I think the PCIII was the best thing I bought for my 06 Ultra.
