I've had a Monster iClick for a couple of years and have been very happy with it. I know some guys who are happy with the Scosche models too.

Before I got the FLHTK I had to use earbuds for music (ya, I know). I bought a Timex IronMan digital watch with IPod control. It comes with a small square piece (receiver) that plugs into the bottom of your IPod and a digital watch that remotely controls the IPod. The watch will play, pause and stop your IPod as well as control the volume and advance or back-up through the tracks. If you create a playlist in your IPod, the watch will give you all the control you need. I found that it has a strong enough signal to get through most fabrics, but if your IPod is under a couple of layers or a leather jacket you may have a problem. A friend of mine used the same setup but didn't want to wear the watch so he attached it to his handle bars near his left grip. These Timex watches are available at most watch stores and outlets that sell Timex watches and run about $40.

Just create a playlist of the songs you want....plug it in the aux port, tuck ipod in your windshield bag and go riding.
If you feel you have to skip around songs while out riding....plain and simple....you did not do a good job at creating your playlist.

I used the Scosche remote for a couple of years before I recently added the ipod interface. The remote itself works by RF so it needs no line of sight. It worked flawlessly. The remote itself is small and detaches from the clip/band that is shows in the picture. I velcro'd it to my clutch master cylinder housing and it could control the ipod from there... volume, track, playlist, shuffle, etc...

Ditto. I have two playlists for my iPods. One is for my work iPod and has 500 songs on it. The other is my HD list, songs for the road. The iPod is mounted on my handlebar and if I want to hear a different song, I can reach over and hit the 'next' button.

I learned that same lesson at the beginning of this season. I created "Bike Songs" and have made adjustments as I have learned what I do and don't want to hear out there. Just plug er in and let er rip.

The RF iJet is the best there is out there. I had one for the 3rd generation iPod, you can get the newest version for the Touch series, great range, volume up/down, play/pause, and skip back and forward. It is plugged into the ipod tru the dock connector port and even greater, the iJet has a pass-port so you can still have it plugged to charging and be able to remote control it.

You fix the remote in your left grip (you can use one of those mechanic cruise controls) and you're good to go.
