Bushings came loose on my RK
I went down to seabring yesterday and on the way back I noticed my new apes were loose(while going 75 on the highway). So pulled over and low and behold yes the bushings were loose.Had to have it towed last night by some friends. My bike is over at HD now being worked on. Have any of you that have changed over to apes had this issue? I remember seeing a post awhile back on this issue just couldn't find it.

i have had it happen as well. you can tighten those without having to tear the nacelle apart on some models. not sure about the 09 though. on my 06 i can turn the front end all the way and tighten one side at a time from underneath. seems like they require a 3/4 wrench.

The new bikes have a one piece riser clamp instead of the two piece from a few years ago. People that go with apes tend to change to the one piece and also replace the rubber bushings with poly ones. These two things usually fix the problem. I just went with the new one piece clamp and the poly bushings on my bike.
