No, they won't warranty cupping. I've started running 40/42 for my pressure, and that seems to help.

Why did they cover the front tires when they cupped but not the rears?

My 09 Road Glide has the same problem. Stock rear dunlop is cupping bad. Sounds like I'm on off road tires when I go around bends at 40 mph or above

I had the front 408 put on a while ago under warranty but i have never read anything about the rear tires cupping.
i am going to take it to the dealer it is still under warranty but i wanted to check on here first.
This is exactly the situation I was in. The dealer put a 408 in the front because it was cupping badly and causing stability problems, but the rear was also cupping and it had a flat thread, like a car tire, flat enough that when I took it off, it stood straight up the way I left it, not falling on its side like it should have done with a round profile, lol. The new tire in the front coupled with a bad tire in the rear didn't make sense to me, and it didn't work all that great, so I installed a real car tire, I run 28 PSI and after a few thousand miles it still looks new. Too easy, lol

Have the opposite with the ME880's. the center wears alot faster than the sides even running them a little low. This is my sixth set on three different bikes and always the same. I like the tires and if I get 6000 out of them Im happy. The Metzlers seem to work better especially on wet pavement.

I called the dealer and they said they would not cover cupping on the rear tire even if it was caused by an alignment issue such as the swingarm and even though they did the 1000 and 5000 service on the bike.

The dealer also said the rear tire is only supposed to last about 10,000 miles so I would need to buy a new one anyways?

I thought they lasted longer than that!
