Default iPod Interface Install Help

I'm installing the iPod interface on my 2010 Road Glide. I have everything hooked up but I have a unused 6 pin plug on the harness and a unused 8 pin plug on the harness. Is it normal for these not to be used? I'm not really seeing anything about them in the directions. My iPod plays, handlebar controls seem to work, and it charges.

I was researching the interface on here a few weeks ago and it didn't look like too many people were willing to shell out that much cash, including myself right now....probably why you don't have any responses yet. I'd love to have it

Well I don't know where I got 8 pin as it was a different style 6 pin. I said screw it for right now since the instructions don't mention it and just zipped tied everything up and got the bike back together.

The thing works great. Did H-D miss the mark on pricing? Hell yes, however I have been wanting an interface for so long I said screw it.

PC PaiN,

Were do you store your I Pod, if you don't mind me asking? I'm going to spring for the interface for the new FLTRU.

Just ordered mine from LSHD. Do a quick search for iPod adapter. You'll fine some people who've already installed. Then pm one or two for help.

I drilled a hole in the glovebox on the right side. Now that I did that I wish I would have just spent the extra money on the extension cable so that I can run in into the bag. It works for now but will end up moving to saddlebag eventually
