download verification
bought a 2006 flhri back in march with 8500 miles on it. already had the harley stage one air cleaner and pipes on it. i was told the stage one download was probably also done. how can i know for sure? ive checked the plugs occassionally and they are burning like i would want them to. bike runs smooth and strong with the exception of a little excess idle vibration when its initially cranked.

You could buy the 32312-10 code reader for $149.95 or pay a dealer 1/2 hour labor to hook it up and check it.

If you follow the procedure for doing a diagnostic check there will be a part number of the current ECM load. The code will show up under diagnostic letter "P", it will scroll across as PN *****-**.
You just need to verify the part number in the ECM is the part number for the stage one download.
Or any dealer should be able to scan and give you that info.
