Funny how when this thread started 6 years ago, everyone was saying how ugly apes on a bagger are. Of course nowadays you see a way more baggers with apes

At the risk of feeding a six year old post, apes are in the eye of e beholder. I have 12.5" on my SG and love them. Wish they were 2" higher even but 14 for me is the limit on a batwing. Your opinion may differ. Love 16-18 on a softail or road king but think they look odd on a batwing.

Personally, while I love the way they ride, can't stand the look of a sharknosed Road Glide EXCEPT with a set of high apes. Then wow, what a fine looking bike. Go figure.

Love my apes. One of the things that caught my eye when I first saw the bike. Super comfortable even for a little guy like me (5'6)
