Default Cam Cover Question??

If I'm checking my cam tensioners and etc, will I lose any oil if this is done while the bike is on the kickstand?

Thanks!

Probably not much if it's on the stand. There is only supposed to be 6 oz in there anyway. More than that and you have other problems.

You will def lose some oil when taking off the cover. I just had a rag ready when I swapped my cover & wish I had a bowl or container to catch the oil.

Are you checking the tensioners on the 01 RK, if so how many miles on it?

I lost about a 1/2 a cup when I pulled mine last Saturday. Put some foil and form a tray that will allow the oil to drain away from the engine and into a pan and not under and all over the frame and engine!
