where are you located? where I got my 11 from they cut a good deal. And they have, as of 3 days ago, 3 - 10's on the floor and 5 or 6 - 11's on the floor. If I remember correctly one or two of them had 103 engines.
I sold my bike a few years ago and I'm jumping back in. Looking for a 2011 FLHX (would buy a 2010 new if I find one). On a 2011 FLHX, what kind of deal can I expect? What % off msrp can I expect? Some dealers are quoting full msrp, some are offering to pay ttl. I'm willing to do the work, but where do I stop trying to beat them down?
Thanks!
Atlantic County HD in New Jersey had a couple 2010 SG's on their floor when I was there 2 weeks ago. might want to give them a call.
Thanks guys. I'm in Houston. They are willing to deal at some dealers here. I have two offering msrp as the out the door price. Going to try to do better. But doesn't sound like I'm going to do way better. Btw, someone asked what color. Black denim.
On the east coast i noticed that MSRP was a deal on the 11's. I was able to get my 2010 RG out the door 19,470 (OTD is everything. That's the price i paid.) It has Cruise and ABS. I just shopped and shopped and told them what i was willing to pay and if they want to sell a bike they can call me back. 98% of all the places were trying to push me to MSPR even on the 2010's which i told them in return they had lost their minds... Why would i pay MSRP on a 2010 when i can get a 2010 for the same price.
Of course... as you see, mine is a RGC not a Street Glide. But honestly... each one of the dealeships i called that didn't have RGC's would say "how about a 2010 SG? I have plenty of those." That must mean they would be willing to move them.
Maybe consider stretching the legs a little and having the dealership ship it if its good enough. They were talking charges of 6-800 for shipping and i am sure that could be work into the price and still be below MSRP.
Well, finalized the deal today. Should pick her up tomorrow. Got the 2011 Denim Black Street Glide with abs/security for MSRP out the door plus a $250 gift card. I'm pretty happy with that. Sounds like it's better than some places and I'm sure there's someone out there that will get a better deal than me. Added the 5yr ESP. Now I just gotta find a ride to the dealer to pick her up, haha...
