Default Bagger apes

I want to put apes on my ultra this winter. I have fairing mount mirrors and would like to keep these. Can some one tell me how tall of a bar I need to go with. Any suggestions for bars?. Thanks for any help.

Anything over 14" and you might clear the mirrors good luck

Cyclesmith or Hill Country Custom are two very good bars for baggers. I have HCC now and CS on my 05 FLHTCI and loved both.

And welcome to the forum.

I put 12.5" and couldn't use the mirrors, you need as least 14" or taller

I'm 5'8" and installed 10" bars and still use the bottom of my mirrors. Depending on how tall you are and if your using the stock seat will play a role in what hight bars you will need.

hd_rolling is exactly right. I've got WO 577 (12.5) and can still use my fairing mirrors at 6'

I am 6' and sat on my buddies bike who just put 12 1/2" Yaffee bars on and it seems like you could use the stock mirrors.

I'm 5'11" and I have 12.5 Wild1 bagger apes. Fairing mirrors had to go bye-bye. No big deal. I'd rather have apes than fairing-mounted mirrors any day.

I'm 6'0" and have 14" Wild1 bagger bars. The fairing mirrors work okay for me.

I'm 5'10", put some 16" RSD Vintage Apes on my 09 Standard and my hands are just above the fairing mirrors. Works out perfectly.
