Default front end noise

replaced both front and rear tires a week or so ago on my 2006 flhri at 18000 miles. now at slow speeds i hear the front brakes squealing just a tad. apply the front brakes and it quits. what is the cause of this?

From what you are describing, it sounds to me like the brake pads dragging on the rotor, due to the pistons not retracting back into their bores enough for the pads to pull away from the rotor. I read that cleaning the caliper pistons can help with this, but I haven't had any luck with that. My Wide Glide did that and so does my UC so I am not to worried about it. I think the Lyndall brake pad site has a how-to on cleaning caliper pistons so you may want to read that if you are interested.
