You'll be glad you have it.

I gained 10 HP when I installed it

Default Backrest

Ditto here for the backrest, best thing they ever put on the accessory list. Don't leave home without it!

I rode for years without a backrest, my butt always gave out before my back. Plus I thought it would be too hard for me to get on and off.
I bought a Russell seat in the spring, and now I can ride 14 hours and my butt doesn't hurt. What I found out, is that my back started hurting like crazy after a couple while. Maybe it was the new seating position, who knows? My wife gave me a backrest for my birthday, I put it on and never took it off again. Now my back and shoulders don't hurt at all. Should have done it sooner.

Another vote for the Mustang backrest. I rode with the HD backrest for 1 1/2 years before going with the Mustang. The only time it comes off is when I go in a Motel to spend the night.

I tried a backrest on my Wide Glide's Corbin seat for ***** and giggles. I found that really liked it.

When I got the Ultra, I knew it was something I would want. I bought the Harley Adj backrest and tried to match the pad as best I could to the Road Zeppelin.

Mine fits in my side bag when I am running around town etc but if I hit the road for a long day, then it easily slips in for longer trips. I have a shorter inseam and arms and this helps alot. I used to run a reach seat but it was very uncomfortable on long trips. I have a sundowner now and life is good.
