J&S works for me too. If you`re lucky you can find a used one on Craig`s list. I did, was a lucky day.

J &S has my vote also. Keep in mind one thing. To use the J and S jack, dont plan on installing a EZ UP centerstand. The two just dont get along with each other.

If I were going to spend the money, I would put a few more $$$ with it and get the Pit-Bull. Bought mine at Bike week. Never regretted it!

I had a Sears Craftman jack since 2004 and use it on 3 Harleys and 1 Goldwing without any problems.

Love my PitBull. The extra height is nice at times.

I have a Pitbull and it's a great jack. I've heard good things about J&S too. Probably couldn't go wrong with either one.

I bought the sears jack for 50 bucks used. I'm sure the more pricey ones are better, but mine sure gets the job done.

One thing to look at when buying a jack is the distance between the lifting arms. The wider apart they are, the more stable the jack is when you've got your motorcycle in the air. Friend of mine has one of the inexpensive Pep Boys models that he says is "just like your Craftsman". It does look similar but the distance between the lifting arms is 2" narrower than my Craftsman. It makes a difference.

Out of curiosity, when on these lifts if one takes off a tire does the balance shift and the bike tip in one direction???
