Default HD Museum visit

Went to Milwaukee to HD museum today. Was impressed with all the early bikes, and all the different bikes there. Very impressive and worth the visit if you're ever near this area. The archives area was a warehouse full of old bikes, gear, and everything you could imagine. I was really taken back with the first few years models, and how much work went into such a simple bike. The audio tour was great as well, as they told the story of the old days. Saw the #1 bike.... serial number 1. What a trip it would have been to sit and ride it.... Anyway, very impressed and gave me different perspective of the MOCO. The girls in the restaurant were nice, but in the "shop" they're tee shirts were junk, and the girls rude....lol..... just like home !!!!

It's a very well done museum, I was there in July. They put an awful lot of effort into it all. I spent about 3 hours there, and could've hung out for at least another 2 reading everything.

Some of those garbage wagons downstairs are a sight to behold.

I also went in late August. Great place. Really put a lot of effort into the place. I was also pretty impressed with their bike night. Great time. Gonna try to make it an annual trip.

It's only about an hour from my house.I think HD really did it right. You can get quite close to a lot of the bikes on display, frequently they're just cordoned off.Lot of security around and I'm glad there is because there's alway some idiots who have to reach in and touch.

Seeing from the earliest bikes right up until current times all in one day really put everything in perspective for me and changed my tastes as far as likes and dislikes etc...

Visited the museum last August and really enjoyed it. The walk through the AMF era exhibit was something else. Hearing that the mechanics at the dealerships would take the bike apart when it came it to make sure things were put together the right way was unbelievable. My 2 boys loved it. The resturant was decent, but was disappointed with the "gift" shop.

I loved the museum, hated the roads to get there. You could loose a family of 4 in some of those craters!

Was there last year and wished I'd had more time. HD did a great job. The museum alone is reason to visit Milwaukee. I'll be going back.
