I have a 2009 street glide with the stage 1 install. I have noticed when I turn the throttle backwards at a red light and the bike out of gear the cruise light will blink. The engine tone does not change cause I thought it would change the engine to run on one cylinder. The dealer said it will do it automatic and not to worry about it but still why does the light blink. Anyone know?
If you turn it and hold it and the light blinks red you've turned it off.
If you turn it and hold it and the light blinks green you've turned it on.
It always blinks green. Even when I know it is running off one clyinder the light does not come on. Maybe it was not hot enough when it turned it backward
The light will not come on when it is running on one cylinder.
When you turn it backwards for the first time or if you have not done it in some period of time, the light shows you the current mode (Green = On, Red = Off). You can then release the throttle and turn it backwards again to change the mode.
The light will not do anything different when the bike is actually running on one cylinder. It runs on one cylinder automatically when the mode is on and the engine temp has to be like 285 I think and you have to be off the gas. There is no way to force it into running on one cylinder.

Thanks.I think I understand now. The dealer could not explain it that well.
