i have a 2008 heritage lots of extras with 10500 miles about seven thousand in extras.heres the deal trade for a cvo street glide dealer gives 15000 trade plus 2500 off the cvo.
Just did the trade thing myself. Traded in my 2002 Fatboy with about 8K in extras for a 2011 RK Classic. Got 8K on trade and about 1.5K off bike.
I was happy with the deal. You'll never get your accessory bucks back, that's why the King isn't getting "overdone".
Well, on the plus side, if you trade, being that the new bike is a CVO, there shouldn't be much in the way of chrome that you'll want / need to add.
I had to LOL about Fcal124's comment about not overdoing the next bike... I thought the same thing when I picked up my '09 EGC... now I'm $1300 in accessories into it, although I must say (I've heard this before) there's only a few more things I'd like.
I guess once a Chromoholic, always a Chromoholic. It's just than dang addictive personality.
Are there a couple of big ticket mods you could remove and return the bike to stock and sell? They should still give you the same price for the trade then you have $1000 or so to get the CVO tuned.
