Default TP Rocker box question

I have seen many here using the TP rocker boxes and wanted to get some for my 2009 SG. The ones with the built in rocker arm supports.

When I called TP to confirm the plan and get tips on which rockers they like, I was told these do not fit the 2006 and up twin cam motors.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I see others with late model bikes running the TP boxes?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bob,

I just installed a set of TP pro-vent boxes and TP roller rockers on my '09 Fat Bob. I'm not sure why TP doesn't recommend them for '06 and later TC96 engines because they seem to fit fine on mine. I got the boxes, rockers and shafts for a good price on ebay. The boxes were the ones with the opening in the middle for compression releases which I don't need, but they look nice on the bike.

I decided to install these instead of stock HD chrome rocker boxes when I swapped out the cam earlier this year. I have a bit over 100 miles on the bike since the install. I haven't had any problems so far.
