This is my first street glide and I'm trying to get the correct size windshield to prevent wind blast at highway speeds. I have the ultra glide windshiels on now and that helps but the wind coming from around the tank that will push the front of your shirt up to your face I'm trying to prevent. Will those little wings that go on the side of the fairing help? Don't know anyone with them to ask.
They will help. I just put them on my SG for the same reason. When I first got it I did not have them. I bought the ones you can open for real hot days.
Rick
i've heard the wings help..thinking of investing myself
as for windscrean..like was said earlier..you wanna go with nose level..and i would recommend a Long Ride Sheild Ultra Flip....helps to push wind up overhead....
size depends on height and what seat.. i'm 5"7, stock seat ,and i have a 6" LRS Ultra Flip
really helped with the wind blowing my shirt up my nose. Depending on how tall you are, an 8 or 9 inch shield with recurve works well. I love my freedom shield.
