I use Nanowax and it leaves no residue on the black at all. They also make a nanowax soap for cleaning off dirt and bugs. Both great products IMO.

Griot's garage chrome polish paste works good with a little elbow grease. Haven't tried many others.

Semichrome on the wheels? Never thought of that. I have used it in the past on older bikes and worked well but have found different thing I like now.

On the wheels isn't there some sort of clear coat or something over the Alluminum or is it bare?

2010 SG wheels.

Thanks

I cleaned the old white wall tires mounted on the aluminum pancake wheels on my fatboy using a very strong chemical, I buffed away the acid stains on the wheels with simichrome, it looks as good as new. The simichrome is an extremely smooth polish, it brings out the shine in chrome too making it look like new.

Mimo.

I have been using Harley Chrome Polish or Flitz. Both work well when applied with a damp application without putting swirl marks in the chrome.
