Touring convert...mostly
But...fell in love with a dealer-customized Street Glide and then on the last week of Sept they made me an offer I couldn't refuse. (Can we say "end of model year clearance"?)
Started life as standard Vivid Black SG, then the dealership covered the entire motor and tranny in wrinkle black, turning it into a kind of touring Dark Custom bike. Which I totally dig.
Also has the 103" motor with PC-V, 18" Aggitator Contrast wheels on both ends, and a Carriage Works slip-on. I like the CW muffler, but is still being choked through the catted OEM header. Gotta fix that.
A few other things made me really want the bike, as they were things I'd want put on anyway, such as the 4-point detachable hardware and a clamp-on backrest. I love keeping it as sleek and streamlined as possible, but want the back rest for passengers. Or as my wife said just today: "It's not a back rest, it's a butt stopper"
Then the final thing to seal the deal: Got them to toss in cruise control and a pair of Diamond Black grips for free, installed for me even.
Tossing the few crappy camera-phone pics I've got so far into the SG picture thread, but here's a couple:

.
But think I'll keep the rest of the chrome parts as is, just as highlights and contrast (like the wheels do).
Glossy black and chrome go together like Viagra and weekend at the Bunny Ranch.
