I have a RK Classic. Electronic ka-ruz control will spoil you. Like someone else said, if you don't have a long reach you'll need to change out the bars. One bad thing on the Heritage is the soft leather bags - look great new but, will deform with age, RK Classic bags will hold there shape.

I had a Heritage for about a year and now have a RK Classic. They both are great bikes!

I'm 6'2" and have found the RK Classic is a little more comfortable on the longer rides. I don't know if I have more "stretching out" room on the RK, if it is the suspension setup, if it is the handlebar reach difference, or maybe the cruise control, but the RK for me is more comfortable. Another thing I've noticed is passenger room and ride comfort. The RK handles the weight of my wife and I better than the Heritage. The shocks can be aired up/down and there is a little more front-to-back room on the passenger seat of the RK. The RK Classic saddle bags, in my opinion, are slightly bigger and have a bigger lid which allows for easier access to your goodies inside.

I thought the touring models wouldn't handle as well as the softails, but I was wrong. The RK Classic is only about 20 lbs more in weight and it handles as good or better than the Heritage. The cruise control was something I thought I would never use, but it ROCKS! It works better than my truck's and maintains speed within about 1-2 mph, even when 2-up.

I've been talking up the RK, now here is what I liked about the Heritage... It has cleaner lines and great looks. That big rounded gas tank and BIG chrome headlight are what makes a bike look good. Everything is simple and not much wiring and hidden electrical fuse boxes like on the RK. Although hot in the summer, the big chrome oil tank looks great also.

Flip a coin and go with it. If you ask me for the answer you will get a thumbs up for both. It is like asking which is better, blondes, brunettes, or redheads... I'll take one of each, thank you!

Try both of them on various types of roads. I had a Road King and loved it. I took a few trips with a guy on a heritage, he never complained about the ride. I have an Ultra now, but I wanted everything that it had. Sit on and ride both, no one can tell you what you are about to spend a chunk of change on.

My feet started to slip off at a sustained 75 mph due to the vibration on the highway pegs,no problems with my king!
ORIGINAL: GliderXXX,

Been the Soft Tail route....no comparison to a touring bike. I'd call that hiway vibration a bit more than a buzz

I go at 6'3 and 270 and I had a Heritage for six years and it was great Bike but when i really started to put the miles on during Rides i had to switch to a 07 Road Glide because of the ride and comfort. Hope that Helps but with either one you can't go wrong because they are both Harleys
