Bought a HD fairing volt meter off craigslist and went to install it. Hooked up the hot and ground and it reads fine, but got no light. I looked at the back and it appears that he may have broken a third tab off of it. I soldered a tab on and tapped some power into it and then the volt meter reads off the chart, probably 24 volts as it seems to be reading voltage twice. Has anyone wired one and know if indeed there was a third tab for the light, and if so what is causing my issue?

 

I am thinking maybe there should not be a third connector. Maybe the bulb or LED is just out.
