I installed my tour-pac on my 06 RG and installed the H-D RF cable extension kit. I have FM radio again but AM reception is almost nill. I did all the connections as prescribed including grounding the antenna. Am I missing something here?
Does your tour-pak come with an adapter installed where the antenna connection is? Mine came with it, but it was bad. So, I took it off the connect my cable directly. The reception was fine after that.

Yes, there is an antenna mount already on the tour-pac. I'll replace it with the mount that came in the kit.
Later this evening: I took the antenna mount off and replaced it with the one provided in the kit. Things were still the same. I dissassembled the connection by the fender under the tour pac then reconnected everything. The radio began to work in AM. I guess something wasn't making contact at the fender connection. All better now.
