i bought the sirius radio mounting kit,the mounting kit is pretty good but the antenna reception sucks.anybody know of a antenna that works well on the satillite radio???????????
i use the Sirius puck type, magnetic antenna. it is attached to the radio under the fairing of my UC. have never had a problem with reception. Have seen a mount that is available where the same antenna mounts next to the Sirius receiver (if it is mounted on the handlebars).
I've got mine mounted on the handle bar behind the docking sta.Bought it online http://www.myradiostore.com It's a little mag mount with about 12-15" of coax just for a motorcycle.Came with a little powder coated mounting bracket.I've used it for about 3 yrs. with no problem

thats the one i have.the only time the reception is good is when i touch it,pretty hard to ride and hold that at the same time.
Those little antennas with the magnet backing need to be mounted upon a magnetic surface to allow the antenna to reach its total rated gain. That is why they are so crappy for reception on a plastic or fiberglass surface.
I've mounted mine on a metal plate off the forward end of my radio inside the fairing at the front end of the section over the head light. Most of the reception is not bad until getting into the trees sometimes at a weird direction.
I just took the magnetic mount and stuck it to the middle of the radio inside the fairing. It gets great reception (better than in my car) and it is hidden.
