Wouldn't it be really cool if all HD touring models came standard with the 103ci?

no, they would lose alot of money in the parts/sevice center from big bore kits.
when they went from 88 to 96 they used the 103 stroker with 88 jugs.. so you still had to buy the bb kit.

They need to offer all the motors (96", 103", 110") as an option in all the bikes... especially the Touring bikes. Let the consumer pick the option he/she wants to pay for. Just like buying a new truck... there are like 4 different gas motors you can option in a GMC truck. If the motors exist, make them an option! Leave the chrome, paint, wheels and such for the CVO bikes.

Can't you have a different engine installed on a new touring Harley ?

Why limit it to the Touring bikes, why not all models? Why 103", I say stick 2 more cylinders on there 206", or make it a 6 cylinder, 309" attract some of them GW riders.
Why not have all Sportsters be 1200s?
I'm happy with 96".

............I would prefer more paint/trim options per model so I guess that is what makes the "option" game tough for any motor company.

There is about 2 HP difference between the 96 and 103. Why bother?
