FYI, Speaker makes OEM halogen, dual bulb halogen, HID/halogen & LED chrome version for HD.
Note: Truck-Lite reflector style LED, 10 bulb, plastic lens @ Kuryakyn/Custom Dynamics, if ya wanna cheap out.

Does HD sell a black version? Would be sweeeet...

They don't, but you can find the JW Speaker original from other distributors.
I located one for 490.00 with shipping. Cant decide which LED to go with. Mainly because I want to see all of them on bikes first. I got a chance to see the Kury/TruckLites one, but the area was not dark enough to compare it to anything else.

For those using the Custom Dynamics LED spots, do they stick out like the headlight does?

Hi everyone, I’m new here but have been reading through these Forums for quite sometime. I recently interested on the LED head lights and Passing/Aux lights.

I would like to know if anyone can give more information about the LED Headlight and the Passing/Aux LED lights now available. The price is pretty high so I want to make sure they are worth it before spending around $900.00. I have heard that on the Harley Davidson’s LED headlights high beam and the low beam aren’t much of a difference but the low beam was quite a bit brighter and of course whiter. I haven’t read much on the Passing/Aux LED lights and wondered if anyone has more information on them?

Also the ones Kuryakyn sells, (head light and Passing/Aux LED lights, is there a difference in light pattern from the HD ones, would one suggest one over the other? I read the Kuryakyn isn’t a glass lens compared to HD which is made of glass. Any further information on either of the LED lights would be appreciated

Thanks everyone.

My first bike was a 2003 Heritage and now a 2010.

They offer the smoked brake light, I already had the red and the combo looks fine on my (red/gold) bike. I don't think I would want a smoked headlamp...

HD sells them, they were available in the middle of September. The dealers that got them then have an exclusive for a short time, as they were immediately backordered. Call a dealer you trust and ask how long to get them now.

You have heard incorrectly, the high beam is brighter and gets the beam much farther out. The stock wiring turning off the passing lamps with the high beam makes it seem like there is less difference than there actually is (except on the distance part).

What information on the passing lamps did you want? They are plug and play on 2005 and newer, 2004 and before require an adapter to the old wiring harness. They are much brighter, and will have improved versions available decades before they need to be replaced. What else is there...?

You need the mounting ring that comes with the HD unit.

I got the 8700, including ring - $420 shipped.

good price T

I paid 494.00 shipped no ring.

319.00 shipped for aux. lamps no hardware needed.

Do you have the part number for the ring?

The pdf instructions for the HD unit say 68124-04b
but you know how accurite those instructions can be...not.
