Coming from a Softail frame (which I did), that was the only thing that annoyed me about the bagger. However, it takes all of about a few weeks to get used to them and you eventually forget about it. One thing I've tried to instill with my regular passengers is to fold them up when they get off the bike.

I"m also 5'8", and just went from a Night Train to a Street Glide.
I have the same problem with the passenger pegs when down. Catch the back of my legs every time I take off from a stop.

I have a lowering kit on order, so we'll see if dropping the rear an inch will help that.

So we are all in the same boat. I guess I will just have to get used to it. Doesn't bother me when I ride solo, only when I have a passenger. Thanks for the replys. Sure does handle different than my Fatboy did.

I had forgotten all about that problem. Yeah, I had it too, 'bout 25 years ago!

It actually bothered me less after I adjusted the rear boards lower for my wife. It hits me lower on the back of the leg and doesn't bind my foot like it did originally. You do get used to it after a while. Backing up with a passenger on board is a slow process that I take pains to avoid and I try to do it before my passenger gets on so I can pop them up. Glad you like your bike!

Default rear boards

At a stop, with no rider, or if you reached your destination have the rider get off first. You can put them up by lightly kicking one leg back at a time. They flip up real easy. Then you can move your bike without getting pinched.

After a couple 'pinches' you'll figure it out. We all have that t-shirt.
