TourPak Docking Hardware
Has anyone out there installed TourPak Docking Hardware on their FLHTCI? According to the MOCO Parts and Accessories catalogue, hardware for this is only available for the EG Standard. WTF? Does this mean that I don't have the option of quick removal of my TP?

I was told by a dealer service guy that they say this because of the wiring and antenna in the tour pac. You can use the kit just fine. You will need to get a different license plate bracket and relocate your radio antenna, but these are minor things.
I used the HD laydown license plate bracket for dressers(They say it won't work either, but it did), and I used a powered antenna by Dakota Digital that goes under the fairing.

Just installed one on my 07 SG, went OK..
I saved a bit on the After Market bag, but the mount, docking hardware, and antenne relocation kit was a bit high.
Altho it came out looking Reall Good...
And the bag comes off in seconds...
The ultra would be a bit more extensive because of the CB, tourbag lights and rear speakers.

Keep an eye on the plastic inserts in your docking hardware. My buddy had two sets of docking points break before he got fed up and bought the parts to rigid mount the Tour Pak. Oh, and the dealer said the Ultra parts just WOULD NOT bolt up to his Road Glide. [sm=bs.gif]

That's funny, I was just considering this as well and found the same deal you did in the catalogue. I want to remove the tourpak and install a backrest for around town with the wife. What is the backrest PN# that I would use with the docking hardware?
