How many out there that have done the detachable tour pack got he whole kit with antenna relocator, plate bracket and docking or did you just get the rack and the docking hardware?
I went with the whole kit (detatchable tour pak parts, antenna relocator, bracket) for my 08 Ultra. \\; I bought the kit for the passanger back rest as well. \\; I put a small leather round bag on the back of the passanger backrest for the cabling. \\; I have since found a way to tuck it under the seat. \\;
I had an 05 standard that I added a detachable tour pak on. \\; I had an infairing antenna for my Sanyo head unit (Biketronics with Hogtunes) so I did not have to worry about the antenna relocation kit. \\; I thought of doing the same this time on my Ultra but thought it would look better with the antenna. \\; When the tour pak is detached I dont use the CB (hardly ever use it anyway).
I used the kit..53303-07...263.96 from Chicago HD. Had everything needed and was a piece of cake to complete.
Here's a link that will walk you thru it step by step \\; http://linuxworx.org/HD/UltraDetach3.htm
Have fun.
I did the detachable rack and docking hardware but not the antennas. I use my sat radio that plugs in to the aux imput, and cd's, when the TP is off. I like the look without the antennas if the TP is off
I just did it last month. \\; My kit came with the antenna cable and new bracket, plus the detachable hardware for the bike and tourpack.
Good luck.
