Default Pull Back Touring Handlebars

Hello Everyone! I am new to this forum so please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong place or something. I want to add pull back touring bars to my 2008 Ultra with ABS. Can anyone tell me what other parts are required for this? My dealer says it will cost around $500 but the bars I have seen are only $149.99. Are there any other vendors such as Kuryakyn or Dennis Kirk who sell the parts I need to do this?

There is some labor involved....outer fairing has to come off, radio removed, inner fairing loosened, handlebar switch controls removed and re-installed, and possibly a longer clutch cable installed.....honestly, I think $500 is a pretty good deal.

Something to think about.....if one were to go with bars that require longer clutch cables, brake lines, electric wiring etc, (adding labor) you can reach $1000 pretty easy.

The 2" pull back bars on an 08 will require a longer clutch cable. Everything else will work. $500 from a dealer sounds very reasonable.

I agree $500 is a pretty good deal, just trying to figure out all the parts needed. Harley website is hard to decipher. I talked to dealer and they told me something about a lower brake line that is approximately $280. Harley website does not show this part. I would just like to know exactly what is needed.

Do some research.....find out who has put those bars on, and what parts they had to change.

I recently installed Khromewerks Sweepers+2. All that had to be changed was the clutch cable. As I wasn't comfortable with doing that part myself, I had the dealer put on a +2 clutch cable as part of the 5000 mile service (don't yell at me....I wanted to make sure that at least ONE of em was done right)....

The REST of the bar swap, I did myself.

$1K is the average dollar amount I've used as a benchmark. More if you go with some fancy bars

I had them put on my '09 UC EG, clutch cable will need to be replaced. $500 is a good price!

I just did the HD touring 2" pullbacks on my 07 and a Buddy just did Klockwerks ergo pull back and did Not have to change any cable on either....$500 seems decent but i wouldn't change the clutch cable...

I was quoted a price of less than $400, and no additional parts required.
Assistant service manager at my dealer said they do it all the time, two hrs
labor no new cables required, they just reroute them for a better fit.
This is for an 2010 Ultra. Bars should be in soon, so will find out then.
