Default i'm back!!

With an 09 RK.... best of all, PAID OFF!!

it was stock. Now has 4 point dock and detachable backrest for the Warden. Hiway pegs and Rush slipons (for now).

Question... Ape hangers. Dealers are asking anywhere from $1700-$2,000 installed. I found an indy customer shop that will do it for $1200 or $500 labor I bring the parts. I haven't gotten the Factory Service Manual yet but will. I'll probably do it myself sinse I was an ASE Master tech for over 20 years but this throttle by wire crap seems like it's going to be a PITA!

Has anybody done their own ape install on an 09 or newer?

buy your bars, and do it yourself !

Seriously, its a 3 hr job, and really no big deal.

If you feel bad about jacking the dealer out of the extra $$$, order some chrome controls with the change, or send it to ME..

Oh, and all you need for the TBW is an extension.

TBW is easy , just be careful of the connectors. Removing the nacelle is more of a pain.

If you're using a TBW extension kit, make sure you PLUG together. Do NOT solder the wires to extend them. Incorrect soldering can change the impedence, and with TBW it is critical that not occur!!
