I watched a video earlier about removing the switch which I did but after getting it out how do you now get the threaded tube off that it goes inside of to remove the cover?
There is a nut and some spacers that must be removed from that tube. After that there are two torx head screws on the side of the fairing cap that have to be removed. After that the fairing cap comes up, not that tube. The tube stays.
not sure what that video shows you but be careful NOT to turn that ignition switch once the plunger has been removed otherwise you'll catch hell trying to line up the internal ignition cylinder with the fork lock cylinder....
When ya finally get to putting it back together..... Be damn careful snugging down the nut over the spacers. You will find MOCO was nice enough to make the housing out of "plastic". $107 later ask me how I know.

Tell me about it! Took me a while to get it back to normal.
