Default Compression Release Confusion

According to my manual. All 2011 103 and larger motors come with ACR.
When I manually go into the SEPST maps for 2011 Touring 1690 motors, all the ACR settings are disabled. Does anyone know if the Power Pak option includes Auto Compression Release.

Yes, the Powerpak 103 option has it. They are hidden within the heads and vent to the exhaust ports.

Your dealer has to turn them on. The way you know is to turn the bike to the on position. You should hear a electronic clicking noise. If you do not get it turned on you will need a new starter in no time.

It's on by default. If you load a new map, just turn it on within the map prior. You don't need the dealer for that.

When I loaded the TTS map, that was the first option that I was asked. "Enable ACR?". I knew from posts here on the forum that my bike came with them so I knew to enable them.

This forum ROCKS!

So, am I the only new 103 owner who ran out to check for that click?

The ACRs are enabled with the stock map on all factory 103s.

These are a really slick setup and I highly recommend them for any build. I was a hold out for a while, but it seems tht there are no issues so far with ACRs and seeing that the 07 and up bikes are prewired for them, it is an easy transition. (although on the 07 and 08s you will need to buy a little extension to reach from the main harness to the ACRs)

If I hook up my bike to my computer, will it show if the current map has it enabled?

No, you can't see the map that's currently installed. But, I haven't yet tried just hooking up my SEPST to my bike to see what it tells me real-time. Worth a shot.
