Doesn't look as good as my D&D but WOW thunderheader has me impressed.
I bought a thunderheader exhaust yesterday for 400.00 bucks w/shields. So I was happy with that alone. Installed it last night. That sucked.. Not the easiest pipe to install. Fired her up and she sounded like a bike with a thunderheader. LOUD Couldn't take her for a test drive because I didn't want to **** off the whole neighborhood....I took her out after work today and let me tell ya this baby cooks. I have been running a D&D fat cat for a while now and really love that pipe but what a differance. Just installed S&S 510g cams,SE adjustable push rods,"FUELING" hi flow oil pump, cam plate and lifters and a canned map. I was impressed with improvement it gave my 95" but wasn't like holy sh-t. This simple change has made the 2300.00 totally worth it.(Not including the pipe) I still haven't Dynoed yet but I expect more improvement and possibally a holy sh-t. So far I'm happy with the "holy crap" I got from thunderheader Have you guys had big gains as well from this pipe?
i had thunderheaders on my 09 streetglide wasnt to great for performance but they had a sound of there own. i loved them but with my 103 big bore and cams and SE heads with 10.5.1 compression they were super loud but i think they are best sounding exhaust made enjoy .
I loved my Thunderheader on my Heritage. Loud, but not obnoxious like straight pipes and boy do they make power. Just before I traded the Heritage in I was looking into installing a big bore kit / cams. Every shop I went to said the same thing "Well, you got the right pipes..." From a pure power aspect it is difficult to beat a Thunderheader. I am even wondering what my new FLTRU would look like with one...
The whole sneak things has gone by the waist side. You know when I'm coming thats for sure. I just got back from boppin around and I can't tell you how impressed I am with this pipe. This thing pulls and pulls threw all the gears. Can't wait to get it tuned....
