Changing oil before winter storage

Dirty motor oil is nasty stuff and I don't want it sitting in my motorcycles' engines for five cold months of downtime. If the oil is more than halfway through its service life I would change it.

I change out the oil in the fall and change it again w/ filter in the spring along with the tranny and primary. If you start it up during winter make sure you get it hot enough for long enough to burn off all the condensation. Just running it for a few minutes to bring it up to temp won't do it. I think the manual says to ride it at least 15 miles.
