I'm looking for a good shop or individual in eastern South Carolina or North Carolina to do some work on my SG. Also going to post this in the southeast section. Any recommendations?. Thanks
From my personal experience... I will NEVER go back to New River HD in Jacksonville, NC. I will also not use the one in Wilmington or Shallotte as they are owned by the same person / group. I have had good experiences from New Berm HD, and I use Combat Cycles, an indy in Jacksonville, NC always good service, very fair prices, I've used them many times. Hope this helps.

Never heard of C&C in Sumter. Do you have a phone number? Sumter is about 40 miles from me. It would be great to find a good shop so close. Thanks
Depends on what you are wanting done. Some are better engine wise than others. Some are fine as long as you just want oil change and such. I am in lancaster and I do all my own work. If you have the time to bring it to my shop, I could help you with pretty much anything you need. I just recently rebuilt an engine from a 98 wideglide/80" evo from crank pin failure for a friend, day after getting it together we rode to bike week in myrtle, no issues pushing over 1000 miles. I installed the HQ107 into mine, nearing 4500 miles on it. There is a guy in kershaw that they say is pretty good. Never heard anything bad about him. His last name is snipes, not sure what his shop name is, I'll find out and repost.
One here in lancaster is Samson, shop name is bad attitude I think, he is supposed to be good on evo motors. Works about $60 an hour.
Junior at J&R cycles is real good but he's around 70 and mostly gives free advice and sells parts these days. He even lets some guys use his shop while he teaches/helps them fix there bikes.
I agree with 02RKC, New River HD, Wilmington and Shallotte are all owned by the same people. They don't mind taking your hard earned bucks and will give you the worst customer service imaginable.... Suprised they are still in business!!
I have been working with Dave at Southeastern Steel Choppers and Triump in Jacksonville. Customer service is great, had some engine problems (Whinning in my motor). Dave took my bike in the shop, put it on a lift and gave it a good check. After about 45 min. Dave was able to tell me what the problem was. It was a good feeling to know that Dave took the time out of his work schedule to check my bike and find the problem AT NO CHARGE... Now that is customer service !! Now my bike is parked in the gaurage at Southeastern Steel Choppers getting an engine upgrade to 95ci all because Dave took to time to give great customer service. just to add, Dave did a lot of research for my upgrade and really knows his **** !!! They even came to my house and picked up my bike and trailered it to their shop..... Can't say enough about the service, but I will go to Southeastern Steel Choppers from now on....
