Default ques on se compensator

I just installed se compensator. The bolt that was in kit was the same length as the original one that came out of stock comp.
It had blue lock tite.
Ques is do you use that thick spacer from stock comp on the se comp?
The bolt was to short to use with spacer.
I used that bolt without spacer bike works fine.
When I was cleaning up later I found another longer bolt about 3 5/16 long. It had white lock tight.
This bolt it appears would have worked with spacer.
I don't really want to take the cover off if I don't have to.
Thanks,
Tom

They had pretty clear instructions with it. I don't recall having to reuse anything at all from the stock comp. But I do recall having to be way careful not to pinch that little disk that resembles a clutch disk, that fits right behind the comp.
I will look and see if I have a copy of the instructions still.

Edit: No, you don't reuse anything. http://docs.sendsilently.com/getsile...8c75bd1e06f215

wow no way! lol

This is what I would do,had a similiar story. My clutch adjuster lock nut fell in the primary and I rode around a bit until it started to worry me so much that I broke down and pulled off the primary and retrieved it....good luck

Lets put it this way, if you use that washer you will have a nice crack/hole in the primary cover after a few miles. I believe it happened to a member here already......

I think you have some good advise here.

Do the 2011 touring bikes have this SE comp. installed already?

Default Thanks Guys Fixed

I took cover back off and replaced that stock bolt with the long one that I found later.
did not use spacer.
Thanks for your responce.

Someone that packs these parts through in a stock bolt.
Which really messed me up. It worked ok but could have been
a big problem down the road.
