my bike is a 2004 ultra with v and h true duels and oval mufflers.
there way to loud for my neighborhood and are starting to get to me also.
also have fuel pack , v and h to, i believe. can i change mufflers back to stock type? need to quiet it down some
Try a set of S.E.s, been some for sale here on forum lately.... Nice low rumble to get you in and out of house (neighborhood) but give it a twist and it will bring the bike and you back to life....definitely not obnoxious........... o~`o...................
I went back to stock from V&H due to noise ordinance, but with stage II kit going in, I am going to try the Supertrapps as they are only 8db louder then stock........and take it easy in the city. I have aircleaner and powercommander. currently.......and I just put the stock tune back in to be safe. I am one of the few who personally like the bike quieter.

the '03 RKC had very loud (read - gutted) mufflers on it when I was negotiating with the dealer. one of the concessions they agreed to, was swapping them out for stock mufflers. it has a stage 1, now minus the noise makers. I'm happy with it.
you know what will fix a loud set of pipes - wind noise - back seat driver - ear plugs - I dont worry about neighbors - with all that booming coming from 4 tire cages - going down the street - I start up the shovel before 6 in the morning and head for work and I think the EG is louder and I do like it
