Default EGC Air Shock

My EGC is a 2005 and the air shock leaks out all the air in about 4 weeks, is that normal or should it hold the air alot longer?

Should not leak down more than a couple of pounds over time and should not have oil in the line. Check the air line fittings, they just snap in.

Yep, check the air lines and fittings. Pump them up and check for leaks with soapy water. My bike is now 6 years old with 62k on it. The air shocks on it still hold air and don't leak down. I only check them about 3 times a year. Each time, they are still at or very near the PSI I left them at.

Yeah another Harley mystery. Why does Harley sell shocks that leak down on $20,000 bikes. Mine does the same thing!!

Mine will lose a pound or two over a couple weeks. More if I do alot of two-up riding. It has not gotten any worse over the last 6 months but I'm keeping an eye on it.

I have an '06 UC that leaked about 3 lbs. a day. When I mentioned this to the $tealer his response was to explain that disconnecting the pump would lose several lbs. That may be true for the Harley pump, but I use a Progressive Suspension pump that doesn't lose any pressure at connect or disconnect. When I mentioned that my '99 RK never lost any air in 53K miles I got no further respose.

The '06 stopped leaking during 4K mile vacation trip and hasn't leaked since.
