I want to install a stereo on my EGS how big of a job to remove the outer fairing. I quess the bike is suppose to be wire ready to install this I see some controls on the handle bars. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Here is a thread with some pointers

 

Outer fairing removal is a simple 5 minute job, remove the shield, 4 lower screws, unplug headlight.

cover your passing lamps if you have them, they will scratch the fairing as you remove it.
