Changed the windshield on the RG, of course one of the well nuts fell into the fairing...had to remove the outer fairing to get to it, what a pain in the ****...has to be a better way. Didn't think I'd get the outer fairing hooked back on the headlight hangers.....
No, but they look like they would work. I assemble the hardware on the shield before I install it. Just screw the wellnuts on the shield just enough where they do not bulge. Then put 'er on.
This is one of those jobs that get easier the more you do it. Don't know if the '10 has the same headlight adjusting assembly, but on the '09 you can pop out the headlights and look through the opening to line up the hook. I have had my fairing off so many times that I can now take it off and re-install in about 15-20 minutes.
I used the ones in the link below. They look like the EBay items posted. Altogether I was pleased with them because of installation and they kept the windshield from rubbing on the fairing.
