Diff Windshield For 1/4 Fairing or Raising Fairing
I want to raise my Arlen Ness fairing up a few inches higher to block more wind and have it more flush with the top of my bars. I'd like to see some examples of how you've accomplished this.
Pretty darn good but I don't like the the rod sticking down, but the height is the look I want. I have the "wide glide" fairing so I also don't have holes toward the bottom for bolts. Only a hole on each side toward the top. The clamps are positioned at the top of the forks and still it's very low.
I'm even considering taking the current shield off, tracing the outline and finding the hole positioning and just making the shield taller from a new piece of plexi-glass or lexan.
So in summary, I'd like to see examples of raised Ness fairings or any different windshield combos with the Ness fairing.
I have the same fairing, although I have one hole at the bottom which mounts to the under side of the ness headlight mount. I will be raising mine soon and will post pics, hopefully this weekend.
Cee Baileys makes a windshield for the factory 1/4 fairing. I don't know if they have a taller one but those guys make custom windshields for aircraft too so if they already have a pattern I wouldn't think it would be hard at all.
6" bolt for the headlight with chrome spacers to fill the area, ness headlight block. I pretty much had to bend the provided mounting brackets to fit my application. you can see in the pick where their are two bolts on the side of the fairing. Only one is functional, I had to drill and make a new one when I lifted the fairing. Not the cleanest way to do it, but it got the job done and I'm not trying to win any beauty contests.

I sent an email to Cee Baileys. You're right, the T-sport replacement windshield is pretty much what I want, just wonder how it lines up with the Ness fairing. I'll report back when I have an answer.
you can use all thread, like member vuoso86 check out his thread on lifting his ness fairing
Yeah I saw it, that's probably what I'm going to end up doing, but I'm still skeptical of the rod hanging down. If I powdercoated the triple trees it would blend better, but I just got the new bars on a couple weeks back so I dont want to dick with the wiring all over again...
