Check some local racecar parts places in your area. There are a few local speedshops in my area that carry redline oils. The kind of shops where car gearheads buy the upper end performance parts. I'm in NW Indiana though.

The same principles apply. My father drove a tractor trailer for about 2 decades, and saw many different products, different brands, that the customer might think were un-familiar. He asked a lot of questions, and learned a great deal, "off the record".

Some still think that batteries will discharge if placed on concrete. Many old "facts" are proven wrong, but some people are scared of anything that goes contrary to what they are used to hearing.

Do what makes you happy, but it is quite foolish, actually.

Those who are so stubborn pay for it, one way or the other. Better for you to pay for your ignorance, than me!

Talk about ignorance,...... LOL

I'm familiar with the tire thing and the generic stuff, blah, blah.
I wasn't born yesterday.

But I am not ignorant to the FACT that different brand oils have different formulas and they don't "all come from the same refinery as the same product" as you clearly stated. Rubbish.
Look at some oil testing data. They would all test exactly the same if your theory were true.

Paying for ignorance? We'll see who pays in the long term. He he!

I still don't get it ..The original question I think was someone told him to use 10w40 oil now he's running back to the store to check jugs.. some are telling it will be OK others say clutch might slip some ,Why not put in what the manufactor recomends He has spent his $5 savings running around ......Between my 3 bikes I change oil about 10 times a year I think I would save about $300 a year using generic oil (big whoop) I have close to 80K in my bikes, Again this is not a place I'm going to try and save money I'll Let someone else experiment with their bike.... Call me stupid or throwing money away I don't care nothing but what the MOCO recomends in my bikes

I bet you sleep better for it.
One less thing to worry about, knowing you have the good stuff in the bikes.

Afterall,..... these bikes bring you plenty of pleasure when you ride them.

Default I use the RevTech products.

Hi Al.

Can you enjoy a graphic I made?
I hope so.

I usually use the RevTech products for the primally below.

http://www.customchrome.com/cc/view....tech_lube.html

Because they are so-so cheap in Japan and it is working well so far.
Even though I don't know they are cheap or not in your country, too.

In fact, I have mistook putting oils into the primally and the transmission.
I realized after I changed!!
So I used to ask about it here. Ha ha

I hope that oil will work well.

Take care.

Never said they all come from the SAME refinery. There are more than one, you know.

Was it day before yesterday?

Spend your money, make yourself happy. Won't help anything except your ego, but hey, waste away!

I remember when you did that with your oils. You talked about it here.
If I recall, you found out the mistake before running your bike, right?

Mistakes are funny sometime. We all make them.

Hi.

Yeah!!
You are right.
I completely mistook pulling oils into the transmission and the primary as you remember. Ha ha
Now, I can ride mine without problem because many people advised me.
I appreciate them.
Did you advice me too?
If so, thanks.

Japan is getting cold day by day but I can ride because I live in south Japan.
I'm so happy.

Regards.
