Default 2006 Service Manual

I own a 09. Should I buy a 09 manual or can I get by with the 06 manual since the 2 bikes are quite similar? I realize HD made over 400 changes but the bike remains fundamentally the same, no? I went ahead and posted it in the classifieds but I'm not sure that I shouldn't just keep it vs buying a new manual.

Thanks

Lot of different stuff on the '09 models.
You can dump the manual here in the Classified Section and recoup most of the cost of the new manual.

I just moved up from 08 to 11 and already have P&S manuals on order.

My 08 manuals are going to the classifieds.

06 to 09 lots of changes

You'll hate yourself the first time you try to work out of it, if you try referring to the old book while working on the newer bike. Don't even consider it.

I had an '06 and it was an Twin Cam 88 with a 5-speed transmission; your's is a 96" and a six speed transmission. '09 and on has a new frame, different tire sizes, different brakes, even the set-up and wiring under the seat is different. I'd say spend the money for the current manual.
