So as some of you have read I am waiting on delivery for my SG and today my wife comes home and says get dressed we are going somewhere. I think OK its one of my days off we are going to be headed to the store for groceries or something. Well she pulls up to the HD dealership in our town and says I am going to go get a helmet. I think ok cool she wants to get herself a helmet and is thinking about riding with me once the bike comes in. Well about 30 mins and about a 1k later we are walking out of the store with a new helmet for each of us, a leather riding jacket and a sweatshirt for her and a Willie G 3 in 1 skull jacket for me. Its amazing because I didnt think she wanted to ride but now it appears as she does. Makes me want the bike even more now.
Funny...my wife had no interest in riding with me when I was riding my VTX...now with the Road King she cannot wait until next spring to start taking day trips......she already has rides planned all over New England........

I got my wife on the Fat Bob a couple of times. She's showed no interest in riding on the Road Glide with me. I even went for the big-*** seat for her comfort.
Mine was opposed to me getting my first bike and had 100 reasons why I was stupid to want one. Of course she was never going to get on it. Then she did. Then we had to make it comfortable for two. Then it was boring on back and we paid for the safety class. Then came the Sporty for her. Then the Sporty was not big enough. Then she had to get a Softail Deluxe. Then we had to set it up for touring. Then we had to get some pipes on it that sounded like a Harley was supposed to. And so on and.....
Really I am not complaining. She is quite the rider now. She even took the road captain's test and now leads chapter rides. A long way from the woman that thought my bike was a waste of money and just a good way to get myself killed. I have to chuckle every time she leaves for a PTA meeting on her bike.
That's great for you, easier to spend money on the bike if the wife is excited about it too!
Two years ago, before I got my Ultra Limited, my wife got off the back of a friends harley and said, "You need one of these!" Un freakin' believable. Wasn't financially able till this past August and now with 4000 mi on my bike she still loves riding with me and I appreciate the extra set of eyes. Now she's talking about a Road Glide for her.
When I sold my softail and got the RKC, my wife instantly noticed the vibration and said "oh, I like this"............ How can anyone not like riding down the road with the wind in your hair (sorry bald guys)
