I was thinking about doing the same, but my V&H 4" Slash Rounds sound a bit crisper.. I just did the Vatos y Viclas ride and EVERYONE has fishtails, it gave me a good opportunity to really hear them as opposed to just a casual fly by. I love the look, but they sound real blatty (IMO) on accel, but are second to none on decel.. Its a 50/50 toss up for me, I can get em for $75 NEW, but I don't know if that (along with the decel pop) is enough motivation to lose that BIG Harley sound I have now..

Had a set on my old 89 ultra. Good sound but performance was scetchy on a carbed bike. Added a simple baffle (tube with a washer welded in it) and ran a lot better with the same sound. Can have both sound and performance if you do it right.

I'am seriously considering going with some Samson fishtails w/o baffles.I have a touring bike,but yes I still love the loud exhaust.I currently have the Rush slip ons w/2.5 baffles,and can hear the stereo just fine.I have always loved the look of Samson fishtails,so I'am seriously considering these.Does this make me crazy,does anyone else have an large touring bike running these to get an idea what they will look like?
